Krakow has prepared many attractions for children on their Day. One of them is a family picnic in Villa Decius in Krakow. Its form will correspond to medieval fairs and will include family workshops, competitions, games for kids, performances and artistic shows. Additionally, the participants of the picnic will be able to meet real witches, jugglers and herbalists who will advise them on magic, unusual plants and juggling trade. And all that is free of charge! But in case of bad weather, the Kijów Cinema prepared something special as part of the 49th Cracovian Film Festival. On 31st May you’ll be able to take part in a special attraction for children called “Let’s Read and Watch.” The whole event will start at nine when an actor, Tomasz Schimscheiner, will read an extract from “One Thousand and One Nights” introducing the kids to the world of tales and fantasy. Next, the children will watch some interesting films, for example an Iranian “History of an apple.” The ticket costs only 5PLN and all the money earned during this event will be devoted to children who cannot have so much fun during their day. It will be given away to the University Children’s Hospital in Krakow.
