The 5th Małopolska Festival of Taste, 29th -30th August 2009 r. Do you know the specialties of Małopolska? Do you know how it “tastes”? It’s high time you learnt all its flavours! Throughout the last few weeks everyone had a chance to learn something about culinary specialties of our district during the regional editions of the Festival (in Krakow, Oświęcim, Tarnów, Nowy Sącz, Nowy Targ and Miechów). Now, however, it is possible to compare all the acquired tastes during the great finale which will take place on the last weekend of the holidays, between 29th and 30th August in Wolnica Square in Krakow.
All food lovers might expect a real feast because restaurateurs and food producers, who compete against one another, have prepared something for everyone. The audience, later on, will decide who gets the first prize – additionally, all audience members who vote for their favourite dish will take part in a lottery and will have a chance to win a prize.
On the first day of the Festival it will be possible to learn how to prepare certain dishes due to a show entitled “live cooking.” Another, quite unusual, attraction will involve dressing a
3,5-meter statue of Queen Bona in a vegetable outfit.
The second day of the Festival will mainly be filled by concerts (Turnioki, Folkoperacja and others),competitions, games for the youngest members of the audience and an action of the Joint Soup Cooking.
