Easter decorations, traditional “palms,” Easter eggs, table-clothes, salt dough figurines, hay and wood products – in other words all the things necessary for having our houses properly decorated during the forthcoming Easter will be waiting for us since 27th March on the Market Square during the Easter Fair which finishes on Easter Monday. Over 50 merchants have already confirmed their participation in the event. They mainly come from the region of Małopolska, but representatives of other Polish areas are also going to present their products.
The Fair is officially opened on 27th March at 12: 00 o’clock. This event will also mark the beginning of the “Krakow supports UNICEF” campaign, according to which, during the shopping, we can have our change paid in Ducats of Charity worth 4 PLN each. All the money collected this way is going to be donated to children from developing countries or areas destroyed by disasters.
Lots of other interesting events have been prepared for the inhabitants and visitors of Krakow as the stalls full of interesting goods are not everything. Polish cuisine lovers will definitely appreciate the project “Flavors of Małopolska” organized under the auspices of the Marshal of Małopolska Voivodeship. During the event, it will be possible to taste traditional Easter dishes and products which should always be present on the Easter tables in Krakow.
Additionally, the inhabitants and visitors of Krakow can enjoy presentations of Easter customs, colorful palm parades, concerts of regional bands, meetings with celebrities, Easter-egg painting and finally a traditional Easter table by which on Holy Saturday, priest B. Fidelus will bless Easter Baskets full of food.
