SNAP Film Festival, which will take place on 20th March 2010 in the Kijów Cinema, is quite an unusual event. During that event, it will be possible to see really short films which do not last longer than a minute. That is why the SNAP festival earned another name: the Festival of Even Shorter Films. The Jury headed by Stanisław Zajączkowski will assign prizes in three categories.
These, however, are not all the attractions. Since 10 o’clock, all participants of the event will be able to take part in free photography, camera operating and directing workshops conducted by professionals.
The Festival will be connected with another important celebration: the official part of the Festival, which will start at 5 p.m., will include naming the Film School of Krakow after Wojciech Jerzy Has. Amongst the guests it will be possible to see: Wanda Ziembicka-Has, Nina Has, Jerzy Nowak, Jan Nowicki, Tadeusz Åšcibor-Rylski, Piotr Paradowski. We present the detailed program of the event below:
PROGRAM
10:00 – camera operating and photography workshops in the open film studio
12:00 – presentation of films which qualified to the competition
1:30 – school films’ review and presentation of films from other festivals
3:00 – directing workshops in the open film studio
4:30 – press conference
5:00 – official opening of the festival and Film School of Krakow naming celebration (entrance with an invitation which can be picked up in the Film School of Krakow, 3/1Kapucyńska Street, since 15th March or during workshops on 20th March)
5:30 – presentation of the new school patron, Wojciech Jerzy Has
6:30 – mini-recital of Maria Pohorecka, presentation of clips by Film School students
7:15 – diploma distribution to the graduates of Film School Students, presentation of the chosen diploma film
7:45 – announcement of the competition results, prize giving ceremony and presentation of the winning films
8:30 – the end of the Festival
