For many the process of brewing tea is short, insignificant and often performed in a mechanic, thoughtless way. Whereas in the traditional Japanese culture it is an elaborate ritual, in which every single movement has its meaning. The ceremony of brewing is called the Way of Tea (chado) which is followed throughout the entire life.
In order to make the inhabitants of Krakow familiar with this beautiful tradition the Centre of Japanese Art and Technology together with SENSHINKAI Chadou Urasenke Tankoukai Krakow Association would like to invite everyone to the cycle of monthly meetings titled “Tea Meetings in the Bamboo Paradise,” which will present the secrets behind the tea ceremony. So, once a month, inhabitants of Krakow will be able to learn how complicated and serious is the allegedly insignificant activity of tea preparation.
